Singapore has emerged as the dominant blockchain hub in Southeast Asia, accounting for 82.5% of all-time blockchain equity funding tracked across the region, according to private-market data platform Tracxn.

The city-state’s lead is also reflected in the number of blockchain companies operating there. Tracxn identified 3,957 blockchain companies across Southeast Asia, with 2,285 based in Singapore. That means Singapore accounts for roughly 58% of the region’s tracked blockchain companies, placing it significantly ahead of other emerging hubs.

Singapore Leads Southeast Asias Blockchain Ecosystem

The figures highlight how strongly blockchain investment and company formation remain concentrated in Singapore. The country has established itself as a major destination for businesses working across cryptocurrency financial services, digital-asset platforms, blockchain infrastructure, decentralised applications and other Web3 technologies.

Singapore’s regulatory environment, established financial sector and position as an international business centre have helped support the development of its digital-asset ecosystem. The concentration of companies and funding suggests that the city-state continues to attract both entrepreneurs and investors seeking access to Southeast Asia’s rapidly developing blockchain market.

Singapores Blockchain Companies Span Crypto, Web3 and Digital Assets

According to Tracxn, Singapore’s blockchain ecosystem spans a broad range of businesses, from companies providing crypto-related financial services to platforms supporting digital assets and blockchain-based applications. This diversity has helped strengthen the city-state’s position as the region’s leading blockchain market.

The funding gap between Singapore and other Southeast Asian markets also demonstrates the scale of capital flowing into its blockchain sector. With more than four-fifths of tracked regional equity funding going to Singapore, the city-state remains the primary centre for blockchain investment in Southeast Asia.

Tracxn also highlighted SBI Group’s acquisition of Singapore-based cryptocurrency platform CoinHako as one of the region’s notable blockchain transactions in 2026. The deal underscores continued strategic interest in Singapore’s crypto and digital-asset businesses.

Why Singapore Remains Southeast Asia’s Leading Blockchain Hub

While other Southeast Asian countries are developing their own blockchain ecosystems, the latest Tracxn figures show that Singapore retains a substantial advantage in both funding and company presence.

The combination of a large concentration of blockchain firms and a dominant share of regional investment reinforces Singapore’s status as Southeast Asia’s leading blockchain hub. As institutional interest in digital assets and blockchain technology continues to expand, the city-state is likely to remain a key destination for capital, innovation and blockchain-focused businesses across the region.

The data also indicates that Singapore’s role extends beyond cryptocurrency, with blockchain increasingly becoming part of broader financial technology, payments, asset management and enterprise innovation strategies across the regional digital economy and financial markets.
