OSL Group has completed the blockchain-based tokenization and issuance of 2WA’s USDGO Plus SP fund, expanding access to digital asset investment opportunities for eligible professional investors in Hong Kong.

The initiative represents another development in the integration of blockchain technology with traditional investment products, allowing qualified investors to access a tokenized fund through OSL HK, the group’s licensed digital asset platform.

The USDGO Plus SP fund follows a market-neutral investment strategy designed to generate returns from funding-rate differences in cryptocurrency derivatives markets. Unlike conventional crypto investments that depend heavily on price appreciation, the strategy aims to capture opportunities across derivatives markets while reducing exposure to directional price movements.

According to figures reported by TokenPost, the fund recorded a cumulative return of 16.67% from inception through October 7, 2026. Its annualized return over the preceding 30 days reached 17.05%. Both figures were calculated before fees, and past performance does not guarantee future returns.

USDGO Stablecoin Supports Fund Structure

Launched by 2WA in August 2026, USDGO Plus SP was introduced as a market-neutral investment fund built around USDGO, an enterprise-focused U.S. dollar stablecoin described as operating under federal regulation.

USDGO serves as the fund’s underlying asset, connecting stablecoin infrastructure with a structured cryptocurrency investment strategy.

Through the tokenization arrangement, OSL provides custody services for both the tokenized fund interests and the USDGO assets held within the fund.

Eligible professional investors can subscribe to and redeem their fund interests directly through the OSL HK application, bringing blockchain-based investment administration into an established digital asset platform.

OSL also maintains more than $1 billion in digital asset insurance protection in Hong Kong, providing an additional layer of institutional custody protection.

Blockwind News Analysis: Tokenization Gains Institutional Momentum

The development highlights the growing importance of tokenization in connecting traditional financial products with blockchain infrastructure.

By representing fund interests on-chain, financial institutions can potentially improve transaction transparency, streamline record keeping, and simplify investment administration.

However, tokenization does not eliminate the underlying risks associated with cryptocurrency derivatives, including funding-rate volatility, liquidity constraints and operational exposure.

The fund’s professional-investor restriction also demonstrates how blockchain-based financial products can operate within regulated market structures without immediately becoming available to retail participants.

For Hong Kong, the initiative reinforces its position as a market exploring institutional digital asset services and regulated blockchain investment infrastructure.

As tokenized financial products evolve, similar structures could attract greater institutional interest, particularly among investors seeking cryptocurrency exposure through managed investment strategies rather than direct token ownership.

The long-term significance will depend on sustained performance, regulatory compliance and investor demand.
