The fund is available through two counters: <strong>3002.HK<\/strong>&nbsp;for Hong Kong dollar-denominated shares and <strong>9002.HK<\/strong>&nbsp;for U.S. dollar-denominated shares. HKEX confirmed the ETF was authorized by Hong Kong\u2019s Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) and admitted it for trading from August 26.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The actively managed ETF is designed to provide investors with exposure to two assets that are often viewed differently within a portfolio. Bitcoin represents a digital asset with long-term growth potential, while gold has traditionally been considered a store of value and a potential hedge during periods of economic uncertainty. By combining the two within a single investment vehicle, MicroBit aims to offer investors a more diversified way to access both markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the fund\u2019s notable features is its support for <strong>in-kind Bitcoin subscriptions and redemptions<\/strong>. Eligible market participants can use Bitcoin when subscribing to ETF shares and can receive Bitcoin when redeeming their holdings, providing an alternative to purely cash-based transactions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wilson Fung, CEO of MicroBit Group, described the launch as an important milestone in the company\u2019s effort to connect traditional financial markets with the Web3 ecosystem. He said the combination of Bitcoin\u2019s digital-asset potential and gold\u2019s established role as a store of value provides investors with a forward-looking diversification tool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Hong Kong Expands Its Regulated Crypto ETF Market<\/strong> <strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The launch also highlights Hong Kong\u2019s continued development as a regulated hub for digital-asset products. The city has progressively expanded its crypto investment-product ecosystem, including earlier Bitcoin and Ether ETFs, giving investors regulated channels to gain exposure to virtual assets through traditional market infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Risks of Investing in the Bitcoin and Gold ETF<\/strong> <strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, the new ETF carries significant risks.
